Based in Reading, I started my photography journey when i recieved my first camera - a Vivitar Vivicam 5386 point and shoot - for my 16th birthday. with this camera, i promptly started taking pictures of everything and anything. This proved a welcome distraction from GCSE's and my dad's battle with Glioblastoma.
Christmas 2008 was my dad's last christmas and the gift of my first DSLR - an Olympus E-420. This took me into a world of gig photography and general photography for my ex partners band.
Then I found London.
London became my go to place for photography, and 7 years after my first adventure to the big smoke and especially Camden Town, I still find new things to photograph.
A new career lead to my new and current set up, my much loved Nikon D3200. The baby of the family but still so full of tricks that, even after this time, I still find myself learning.
My last few years have included:
Summer 2015 - My first introduction to professional event photography as one of the "ground crew" for Gay Pride Pics - a team of photographers which tour the country to capture the experience of LGBT+ events.
Autumn 2016 - I became the photograpy co-ordinator for Reading Pride, taking over fellow GPP photographer Beth May
Winter 2017 - I begin my degree in photography, to pursue a career in Clinical Photography
Spring 2018 - GPP rebrand and become Pride Pics, and myself becoming Creative Director of the organisation
Mainly working on event photography, black & white, colour splash and abstract
